Denise has been a part of the Good Morning TriState team since 2005. She is a Northern Kentucky native, graduating from Highlands High School and then attending Northern Kentucky University.
Denise has 3 children: the oldest is a Sophomore at University of Louisville, a son getting ready to graduate from Highlands High School in June, and moving onto U of L as well, and a daughter that is a Freshman at Highlands.
She has had many of career opportunities in her lifetime. Raising her children is number one on the list. Coming in a close second, is working at WCPO. Denise says, “They are like my family, you enjoy going to work everyday. Even with the 3am wake up call.”
Denise enjoys camping, boating, canoeing, hiking, working in her yard and sewing. But most of all she enjoys getting out and meeting new people and making new friends. She is looking forward to working on a new weekly segment called ” The Long Road Home”. This will be about many of our local hero’s in the military. She hopes to someday be able to make a difference in the community with the opportunities that she feels that God has given her, and with her career at Channel 9.

Thanksgiving Message from Staff SGT Mark Anthony Wojciechowski

We lost( Tony Wojo) April 30th,2009. He leaves a very strong and loving message,in his memories to his mother Teresa Dillinger, she wants to share with the world.
Thanksgiving often passes to some as another holiday; a day of food, family, and football, with little more than just tradition and routine setting the tone. To some, it reminds them of the “American heritage”, the whole ; the pilgrims came- made peace with the Indians- shared a harvest together- and we still celebrate that today. Thanksgiving is also to most, a time to give thanks to the Lord, from which all things are made possible, and whom without, there would be nothing to be thankful or unthankful for.
Perhaps it is now that I am growing older and have a new found respect for simpler and less tangible things, or the fact that I am unable to be where I would like to be sometimes, but this is how I can describe what Thanksgiving means to me.
Obviously, Thanksgiving means being thankful for the things you have, but what does that include? I am thankful for being blessed with a wonderful family. A family that supports me in every way and is always there for me, even though I try not to need them as much as I probably should. I am thankful for health and well- being, not only my own, but the health and well- being of those around me which I love.
I am thankful for the society we live in and the comforts we take for granted each and every day. Although many will think our system is far from perfect, at least we can rest our heads each night without even so much as a remote worry of bombs being dropped, bullets being shot, or poverty in our future.
Of all of the things I am thankful for, none of them would be as rich as they are without giving proper thanks to all of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, in wars past and present, to give me the liberty and freedom in which I am thankful for today. Even though I am serving in the military and will be spending this holiday away from my home and my family; I am thankful for all of my brethren, the troops that are currently serving in harms way. Not only are they away from their families, but they won’t even have the pleasure of safety or rest this holiday weekend.
I hope you have a happy and safe holiday. After all, I think being together is one of the smaller things people overlook. It doesn’t mean as much until you can’t have it. As for me, my holiday will be just fine. I will be surrounded by a great group of guys which I have come to love as brothers. I will talk to you all soon. I love you,
Tony
What a wonderful young Marine, we can all be proud to learn a little more about what a great man he was. Happy Thanksgiving to all, Teresa hopes this will touch your heart; it did mine. Thank you Teresa for sharing your son .

We want to thank you,
Without your help we would not be able to complete our mission. This year we will be sending out $63,000.00 in scholarships to 113 schools of the Fallen. To date we have $239,550 in scholarships. We want to continue giving these scholarships to all the Fallen Heroes schools across the United States each year. Some people ask when we are going to quit. We are not: until we have given scholarships to every Fallen Hero. I wish you could experience the feelings we get when we have a Gold Star Parent thank us for helping remember their loved one. They traveled from as far as Washington State to be here in memory of their Fallen Heroes. We have met some wonderful people in the past four years. We even have volunteers come from Kansas and Maryland to spend days working to help us make everything perfect.
We would like to thank all the volunteers for their hard work. The music by Bootzilla Productions and Blair Carman made the night a hit, not to mention our emcee Tricia Macke and auctioneers Shayne Graham and Courtis Fuller. We would also like to thank the APC Candle Company, Spradlin Welding Co., and Chocolate Blessings for the donations to the Gold Star Parents. Together we can make this happen next year.
Anyone wishing to make donations can make them in the “April 9th Scholarship” account at Chase Bank, or mail a check to Yellow Ribbon Support Center.
(P.S. Yellow Ribbon Support Center is still sending packages; they can use your donations of snacks and money for postage.) Till they all come home.
